Crypto.com has launched its payment solution, Crypto.com Pay, at the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix. The use of cryptocurrencies for the purchase of food and beverage by selected event merchants is the first ever. This integration allows users to pay using available digital assets to make purchases directly through the Crypto.com App.

Under the initiative, fans can make secure payments during the race weekend scheduled at the Miami International Autodrome from May 2 to May 4, 2025. Users of digital assets will have the flexibility to pay with cryptocurrencies at participating vendors throughout the venue.

Crypto.com Enhancing Accessibility Through Zero-Fee Transactions

Merchants enjoy the zero-transaction fee model to accept crypto payments from the platform users through Crypto.com Pay. This solution is suitable for multiple cryptocurrencies making transactions quicker and more economical. A simplified onboarding experience is offered to the merchants and consumers are offered a convenient alternative to the traditional payments.

In a statement, Joe Anzures, General Manager, Americas and EVP of Payments at Crypto.com said that this helps to support the company’s vision of broader crypto adoption. However, he pointed out that cryptocurrency usage of major global events is a major platform to expand usage among digitally engaged audiences.

Long-Term Partnership Strengthened with Formula 1 Miami GP

Since it launched in 2022, Crypto.com has been the title partner of the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix. The event is clear with its brand presence on the track, podium, and fan zones. Despite a reduced profile in recent years to the point that it has fallen off the news radar, the event continues to attract big audiences and has a major economic impact on the region.

Crypto.com and the Grand Prix organization executives stress the common dedication to innovation. The collaboration is part of the ongoing push to incorporate digital solutions into high-profile sporting events and improve the fan experience with modern payment technologies.
